In a multi-stage process, BDG helps to identify the best-suited supplier / producer for our client’s specific requirements; manages implementation steps, and assures a smooth execution through our internal quality assurance system. After an initial phase of establishing the necessary framework for supplier research, including product and partner business criteria, BDG launches a full range screening and selection process, making use of databases, direct inquiries and network information. Suppliers are scored and assessed along a fine tuned set of criteria, created from client input and BDG experience. Experience shows that most good suppliers, though already competitive in price and product, show significant room for improvement in terms of quality, product range, scale and logistics. This potential has usually not been unlocked before due to lack of demand and modern management capabilities. BDG can drive the initial development and continuous improvement of our client’s suppliers, taking BDG services one step up the value chain. Depending on our client’s needs we focus the set of support activities for the supplier by an 80:20 principle to ensure a high impact for our client in terms of cheaper and better supplied products with a minimum implementation effort.
